Everyone who is born comes with a fate, a fate which is constrained by an inability to be deathless. Soon in life, everyone has to face a reality check; “What is the purpose of my existence?” And then, their life is spent finding out an answer. On this path some get lazy and some inspire. Souls are eternal. A person’s deeds are indelible.
Now, for obvious reasons, the world is drowning in depression. All so devastated. Mankind has lost one of its most inspirational personalities. Alan Rickman. He once mentioned, “Acting touches nerves you have absolutely no control over” The prime evidence being himself; he and his acting. His role as the mysterious Professor Snape in the Harry Potter films has taught us that heroes can hide in the most unlikely of places. This has gathered for him so much love that this fact that he is no more is unacceptable for all his admirers. If you are one, you’ll know how difficult it is to believe that it is time for this phase of his life where everything has come to a standstill. How, with the hate to accept this fact, will one get back to watching Harry Potter again?
“What I remember most in this moment of painful leave-taking is his humour, intelligence, wisdom and kindness,” wrote Emma Thompson, who had collaborated with him in his directional debut and many other films. “His capacity to fell you with a look or lift you with a word.” There has been an outburst of sorrow over the internet since the time of his news. Stars of stage and screen have expressed their grief. Fans have been using social media to pay their tribute, many of them captioned “I’m honored I was alive at the same time as you.”
The stage and screen giant, aged 69, said a final goodbye to his friends and family on the 14th of this month after a short battle with cancer. He has left behind a horde of people grateful and bereft.
